Vincent Keersmaekers is the eldest one of three brothers that founded Road 2 Formula. Just like them the racing virus striked him very early.
From the moment a computer became available at the age of 8, racing games were all that mattered. The first game that made its entry was the at the time very realistic Acolade Grand Prix Circuit. As the level of racing games improved it were especially the Grand Prix games by Geoff Grammond that stood out above the rest. Driving in competition was in the beginning the “battle between the brothers”, but later on it became more and more serious.
In 2003 Vincent made his online racing debut during the Malaysian Grand Prix on the GPChampionships platform. Although he was a so-called “key-racer”, Vincent often made life hard to experienced wheel-drivers. This resulted in multiple podium finishes and the unofficial key world record at the Spa Francorchamps track.
Also, with Laurent and Matteo, he managed to win the prestigious SPA 1000 event, a 1000km endurance race driven by six drivers from the same country.
But Vincent excelled the most as a team manager. Throughout the years he managed to take Vince Racing to the next level. some of the best simracers of that time were contracted by the team, winning a lot of races and championships. Vince Racing became an established name in the sim-racing community.
After many wonderful years, Vince Racing quit because of the manager’s lack of time caused by further studies.
In his professional life, Vincent chose a career as a math and science teacher in high school. Two important elements to help understand the manner of setting up a race car.
The combination of racing passion, leading a racing team and teaching young people are making Vincent the ideal contact person for Road 2 Formula. Also the general communication of the company will be one of his tasks.
